Pretty Petunia

This wonderful baby girl was adopted!! I am so happy about the loving home
she went to. She will be spoiled beyond belief! I miss her a lot but know she
is in good hands. I think she was giving me the "stink eye" in this picture lol.

Petunia

Miss Petunia went to get spayed today. I miss her. I hope she's ok. She's going to come back here for a while before going to the center. She's a wonderful cat and is going to have a happy ending soon! :)

Here is a picture of my foster room. It's temporary. The real foster room is under
construction.

New Foster Girl Petunia

So this is Petunia. She came from Stein gardens and gifts. The name is fitting :)
She came to me pretty scared but not feral. She has a "stress purr" which I looked up to see what it was (the vet said she had it) and it's how they try to soothe themselves. It's not always a "happy" thing when they purr. She is getting braver though. She's been here for 6 days and she comes out and plays now. She will let me
hold her and pet her. She LOVES the feather wand I have. She plays with that the most. She got to have her first sampling of Temptations treats last night. She smelled them and tried them with her tongue... unsure as to what they were at first. THEN.. She gobbled them up! She is curious about the 'under the door' kitty (Bella and Bing) but she needs to have a few things done to her before she can meet them (namely her last dose of de-worming stuff). She's a champ! And what a sweetie!

Delilah

I approved an application for Delilah today.
She's my favorite OARS cat and a former foster
cat too. She had to have all of her teeth pulled and came
to recover with me. She has a disease called
stomatitis. it's where her body
is attacking her teeth. You can read more
about it here......................

She will go home on wednesday and I'm going
to do the adoption. I hope I don't cry lol.
As much as I want her to stay at the
center, she deserves a really great home!
She will be loved and cherished.
I will really miss her. She's a great little lady!
Thanks for being such a great cat, Delilah!

blah

Sorry it's been so long!! Google was being stupid and not allowing me to sign in. Frustrating because it's MY blog! So, now it's all straightened out and we're back on track!

Recently I was asked to serve on the Board of Directors at Orphan Animal Rescue and I have accepted! I asked for a goofy official title and here it is... are you ready?... Feline Adoption Coordinator. No. Feline Adoption Director? hmm. Cat Lady in charge of adoptions? all of the above! Basically I report on adoptions. kinda. I think.

Anyway! Things have been hopping. I have been full force into volunteering at OARS.
I am there every Sunday trying to get these amazing cats into new, loving, forever homes. It's been going really well! We have had many adoptions since i've been on board. yes. it is all me. ha! It's not. It's a lot of fun, A LOT of work and very very rewarding!

Sammy has started a new eating schedule... which he HATES! So far I haven't given in. That's the thing with cats, they always want to be fed. He was getting a lot of soft food and, if he were the only cat, it would be ok. BUT, he's not the only cat and poor Bella is paying for it. She's gotten a little chubby. so... we're all on a diet lol.

That's it on the Cat front. What's new with you?

Bella and her baby...

I have been trying for a few days to get a picture of bella with her baby chandler.
She takes care of him like a mom would. Plays with him like a sister would.
She enjoys having him around I think. She's such a good cat. I just love her.
She gets a lot of extra attention from me because I thought she was feeling left
out. She's not lol. She's a great girl! And very helpful! ;)
